The NAR Board of Directors approved a series of recommendations from NAR’s 专业标准 Committee that extend the application of Article 10 of the 道德守则 to 歧视性的 speech and conduct outside of members’ real estate practices. The changes to the 道德守则 prohibit REALTORS® from using harassing speech, 仇恨言论, 绰号, or slurs based on race, color, 宗教, 性, 障碍, 家族的地位, 国家的起源, 性取向, or gender identity in any context.
These changes took effect immediately when passed on November 13, though they cannot be applied to speech or conduct that occurred before that time.
